This piece of soft news was done for my News Writing module's Graded assignment.

This was one of the writing assignments I enjoyed doing because I have always liked going around and interviewing the public. I also enjoyed walking around the booths finding my newsmakers.
​
This assignment further emphasized how important it is to find the correct newsmakers that will match my storyline well. I also had to take suitable pictures that will fit in with my article, which was easy since I have always liked taking photographs.

​The personality piece and News Feature are written for my Feature Writing module's Gardens By The Bay Industry project.

We were given free "tickets" to enter the Gardens By The Bay Flower Dome and Cloud Forest during school hours. We also had the chance to meet up with two of the staff members there, Mikhaail and Sharifah, to conduct interviews to get to know more about what they do in Gardens By The Bay as a deputy director of Gardens conservatory operations and horticulturist.

As someone who is interested in plants and have a few plants at home, I was intrigued by what goes on behind the scenes of those beautiful flowers we see at Gardens By The Bay. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I really enjoyed this experience. My team and I got an "A" grade for this industry project.
